ama City Beach (PCB) is a suburb of Panama City, in Bay County, Florida, United States. The population was 7,671 at the 2000 census. According to the 2005 U.S. Census Bureau’s Estimates, the beach area continues to grow very rapidly at 11,477. During the winter months, Panama City Beach is a popular destination for Americans from the northern U.S. as well as Canadians, or Snowbirds. In the spring season, Panama City Beach turns into a spring break mecca, drawing high school and college students from all over the country, often in numbers that outstrip all other spring break destinations combined.

The summer is high season in Panama City Beach, drawing crowds of all kinds to enjoy its sugar-white beaches and warm, emerald waters. Recent hurricane damage and a new-construction boom are serving to raise the economic image of the area, as pricey high-rise condominiums and luxury homes replace older motels and homes. However, this is turning unobstructed beach views and affordable waterfront property into rarities.
Panama City Beach’s slogan is “The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches.” On one of those beaches, the last “WCW Monday Nitro”, was telecast in 2001, which was credited as “a landmark event” in the entertainment industry. Monday Nitro and the then-WCW returned to Panama City Beach every Spring Break at the famous student resort Club La Vela.

I have been to PC many times…I love the beach but not the crowd so I’ve retired to Seagrove beach since it’s more my pace.
The picture only hints about the beauty of the beach in Panama City…party or family, this beach is worth a visit. Oh, and while you are there…Help spread the good news – The Civil War is OVER!
Panama City has been made over, the old motels are torn down and replaced with huge condos. The real estate boom down there has pour billions of dollars into the community. See for yourself.
I have not been to Panama City in many years. From what I remember, it was not the place that I would take a family vacation necessarily. However, if it were to cater to the family life instead of the party life I may change my mind. Regarding ”...cleaned up”, is this what you mean in general? This place has really been cleaned up, tons of great condos, new places to eat and play. I hear a Margaritaville is coming there as well. It was ranked the #1 place to buy real estate in the US by CNN Money a few weeks ago.
