This is probably my most used lens with my Nikon N75. It shoots great photos of wildlife the outdoors (which I am usually drawn to). I usually set the lens at 290mm (photos are too soft at the full 300mm) and then the aperture anywhere between 6 and 11. I am sure that there are other lenses that are out there (offbrands) that claim the same clarity and sharpness but with a photograph is only as good as the lens. So in my opinion, don’t bother with the offbrands. The price between a Quantary and Nikon 70-300 is fairly comparable. So go for it! You won’t be disappointed.
