The Louisiana Sauce Factory opened up shop in 1994 and since has been creating products based on the Louisiana tradition called lagniappe — “a little something extra.” As its state of origin might suggest, this salsa has a Cajun-influenced flavor. The ingredients are pretty simple: tomatoes, pickled jalapeno peppers, vinegar, red peppers, canola oil, garlic, cilantro, spices, salt and lime juice. At only 10 calories per serving, you can be inventive and use instead of adding those toppings that are loaded with sugar, calories and fat to top salads, baked potatoes, and veggies. Retails for $4.99/16 oz. Other flavors are Garlic, Sweet Onion, and Jalapeno.

I do not like chunky salsa, so I am always on a quest to find salsa I don’t have to put in the blender when I get home. I saw VooDoo Bayou Backwoods Magic Salsa at the store the other day and decided to give it a try. IT WAS A HIT!!! My family loved the taste and the consistency. And the best part-NO big tomato chunks!
