Background
We had been talking about opening a restaurant together for several years – so we did our research and we felt there was a gap in the quality end of the pizza and pasta market. In June 1993 we opened our first ASK (a combination of our initials) restaurant in Belsize Park NW3. Fortunately our first restaurant was an instant success and we opened another two restaurants in the following year.
By September 1995 we had grown to nine restaurants and gained a listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) to fund further expansion. Although we have grown rapidly over the years our focus remains constant; to serve freshly prepared quality food in stylish and comfortable surroundings with friendly efficient service.
ASK Central was delisted from AIM in June 2004 when it went into private hands. It currently owns and operates over 180 pizza and pasta restaurants around the UK. Each restaurant has a unique design to suit the character of the building and we take particular pleasure in restoring listed buildings or buildings of local interest

Service has always been good and Seating is ample and comfortable. There are two floors divided by a spiral staircase to the f…..

I visited the one in the arcade on Gloucester Road last winter. It was a good dish but the restaurant itself was a bit too cramped for my taste. I would not rule out trying it again but maybe a different location. Until now I was not aware that it was even a chain!

Ask may be a step up from Zizzi but it sounds like it is several flights of stairs up from Pizza Hut.
